She has seen many factory floors over the years, and is at her best being close to production. Her style is “maximalist meets mini- malist”, which is a perfect mix of her Ukrainian and Nordic roots. Susanne got the creativity and love of creating from her grandmother Joanna. Susanne might for example be one of the best in Sweden at making gold leaf finish. But that’s another story. Susanne has lived in New York and in Australia; she loves to travel, but always finds her way home to Stockholm. CarolineWith 14 years abroad and many more in the advertising and fashion industry Caroline has a mental moodboard of a cultural and aesthetic connoisseur. The world was her playground when she travelled from NYC to Paris and Berlin to Tokyo for former employers such as TBWA Paris, Lancome, Publicis Paris, Ralph Lauren and Gant. Each of which gave her invaluable insights of what an international luxury consumer demands. Carolines aesthetic is anti-minimalistic and inter- national where prints are layered upon layers and there’s always a palm tree and an animal print involved in her mood boards. OUR STORY OUR STORYBRAND PHILOSOPHY7 RIJD Interior is a couture furniture brand founded in Sweden by Susanne Lundberg (founder of fur- niture brand Ruth & Joanna) and Caroline Roth (founder of interior decorations firm Indochine Deco). The founders brandnames make out the letters RIJD which is pronounced ‘ride’. RIJD interior launched mid September of 2023 af- ter a long and extensive furniture design process that started almost a year prior. The design duo has put immense effort into all the details of the ‘perfect piece’ and have worked with the seam- stresses and the production factory to make every detail just right. Nothing is left unscrutinized - like any couture piece should be.With the combined skills of Caroline and Susanne, RIJD has its natural DNA in both the world of fashion as well as from the knowledge of making quality furniture. As it’s made on order and with the best quality out there each RIJD item has a long shelf life - thisway we are also reducing waste allowing our planet to prosper. We are so thrilled to take you on this ride, and dream along with us as we take you for a tour around the world, each destination captured in our looks. Every piece is made on demand therefore the duo can also present very personal items to people that have special requests. RIJD applies a lot of fashion strategy into it’s processes and thus create SS and FW drops in lookbooks. Places, surroundings and even nature of each se- lected destination for design inspiration is care- fully narrated to create a cohesive look seasonal presentation. This also allows the brand to ex- plore many ways of expressing itself going from bold and decadent to tailored and fresh looks. The common denominator is always the couture aspect of each item RIJD presents to the market. “Basic and standard are considered cuss words in our office. We don’t do basic, and neither should you” BRAND PHILOSOPHY8 THE PRODUCTS We source materials, fabrics and trims all around the world to make sure each piece is one-of-a-kind. As designers we have of- ten found ourselves in situations where we could find a ’base’ piece of furniture that we had to ’dress up’ in order to fit the bill. Along with that insight, came the idea of of- fering these products to the market all done up just the way we like it. RIJD was born. We are firm believers in statement pieces. We also believe in the best quality of both craftsmanship and fabrics. This combination of commitment gives us a strong founda- tion of design and end-result - both which we take great pride in. Nothing is left to chance in the design process nor in the assembly. Our products are an extension of our taste and what we consider to be lacking in the marketplace. We always try to give each piece of furniture the best possible combination of style, qua- lity and comfort.
